I have downloaded and updated my browser to Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.0. And I have to admit it is a truly wonderful program. From saving passwords to smoother faster surfing it's great! The only drawback is downloading the 8MB minimum program. I experienced servers not being found using a 33.6k modem. When I upgraded to a 56k modem the download went fine.
Microsoft Internet explorer is a wonderful program. The only problem is ther are so many holes in the security part of the program.Going onto the net with it is like the story of the Emperor's New Clothes everyone can see you have no clothes on, or in this case no security. My ISP acount was hacked by someone from Spain and ran up charges over $200.00. I don't live in Spain, never been there, now don't want to go. What else are they going to take? My clothes?

Comments on Netscape 4.0 & under - The one problem I constantly had with Netscape was KERNEL32.dll crashing after trying to open a new window. I found Netscape was 4 times more likely to crash than the Internet Explorer. Until this problem is solved. (Sometimes more memory will help) I cannot tell a client of mine to use Netscape. Sorry Guys!
Gave Netscape 4.6 a shot. Nice program, great feel. The only problem I have is, it still crashes! It seems unless you have a lot of memory, over 64MB, whenever you open and close a window after a certain amount time Netscape loses track of your browser windows and it crashes. I'll try the 4.7 and let you know what happens.

Still looking for an excellent free graphic viewer. Any ideas? For now, I use Compu Pic. free trial only lasted 15 days. So I bought it. I had to have something.
